Captain Mark Cheatham

Captain Mark Cheatham serves as the commanding officer for the Administrative Services Division, which encompasses the Office of Professional Standards, Records, Information Technology, and the Acworth Detention Center.

The Records Division is responsible for the retaining, storing, and purging of all records at the police department.

 

Due to Covid-19, the Records Division is currently closed to the public. The Records Division is able to process criminal history requests through US Mail. The steps are as follows:

1. Please print and complete the highlighted portions of the consent form and have it notarized.

2. Please send the consent form, a copy of your driver's license or state-issued identification, and a money order in the amount of $15 to the Acworth Police Department, 4440 Acworth Industrial Drive, Acworth, GA 30101

3. We will process your request and mail it back to the address listed on your consent form.

If you wish to have a charge expunged from your record there is paperwork that must be completed. This paperwork can be picked up at the front window of the Records Division. Should you have any questions, please contact 770-974-1232.
